Happy Islamic Valentine's Day!


Well hey, at least the ban on cards and flowers seems reasonable.


This picture was taken a couple years ago at Hussain Sagar Lake in Hyderabad, A.P., India by the author of an anti-Islam website. Apparently this poster was placed right outside of a park that was full of cute Indian couples doing their best to ignore it and enjoy a bit of privacy. They must have been blissfully unaware of the price that their ignorance will cost them. The same goes for all of you heathen infidels out there.

So I hope you all enjoyed showering your lovers with candy and flowers today, for it will surely cost your souls an eternal penance in blazing hellfires.

  2. i'm an atheist...all three abrahamic religions have their zealots...in christianity, right wing (religious) nuts shoot abortion doctors...the zealots of islam are of course the most dangerous, but not all muslims are perpetuating evil while hiding behind a god...what is scary is all three have end-time scenarios and the hardliners within each religion want the end-time to happen and do so quickly.

  3. Great thread. I am so tired of extremists of all types. Extreme partisanship in government unable to do what is right. Religious extremists killing each other (not a problem for me actually) and killing the innocent. The Climate freaks. The fur freaks. The anti abortion freaks. F'n hate 'em all. Where have all the moderates gone to...

  5. In adition to the story about the cute Indian couples, it could be mentioned (by me, the guy who took the picture), that pictures of Sania Mirza was all over Hyderabad.

    Sania Mirza is a muslim from Hyderabad, a Top 100 Tennis-player, she has played doubles with an Israeli partner, she is smoking hot and she doesn't give two tosses about the local mullahs.

    Realistically speaking, I couldn't wish for the local muslim girls to have a better role model and hero than their hometown-girl Sania Mirza.

  6. Thanks for the info William. At least that anecdote helps inspire optimism when it comes to females in that particular corner of the world.

    Also, I checked out some pictures of Sania and agree with your assessment of her hotness. Frankly, I could care less about her character. As long as she isn't torturing babies in her spare time, I fully support her as a role model for young Indian women.

  7. Religion is the one reason why my nation is still in a pathetic condition. From the caste system which created great income inequalities and huge poverty ratios in India even as it was the richest nation in the world from pre-Biblical times to the 18th century; to the religious clashes which culminated in a blood-stained tearing-off of a giant western portion of India to form an Islamic theocracy which is today the terrorist hotspot of the world.
    Religious fundamentalists vehemently oppose any modicum of betterment in Indian society; there were protests from several radicals (mostly Christians citing the Bible) when the Delhi high court finally gave homosexuals a legal right to exist; there were demonstrations when the Bollywood actress and social activist Shabana Azmi publicly expressed her opposing views on the burqa. Religion is an opaque, toxic cloud of irrationality which blinds society and slowly chokes it to a painful death.
    That's true for Hinduism, Christianity and Islam.
    If only religion were to disappear in a cloud of smoke; but no, these fundamentalist zealots will stay around for quite a while and continue to eat India from within.
