Considering that ayahuasca is made from the powerful hallucinogenic alkaloid N,N dimethyltriptamine; it's very likely what you saw was nothing more than a hallucination. Your mind was consciously or subconsciously contemplating the plausibilities of a supreme spiritual entity and in a state of hallucination that's what your brain showed you. At the time, I perceived the vision to represent the god, as opposed to a god, but I do not even like using the word god itself. All I will label it as now is perhaps some higher power beyond my or anyone elses comprehension. Call it what you will. Ayahuasca may have cured my rigid atheism, but fortunately or perhaps unfortunately, it did not cure my agnosticism. My vision could have been nothing but pure hallucination and/or simply an archetype that emerged from my unconscious. I will not choose one the many possible explanations for my experience although I am strongly inclined to grant a higher, spiritual significance to it.
